2026 Low Income Assistance Program

The City of Forks offers the Low Income Assistance Program for individuals and households whose annual earnings are below the federal poverty level. The Program offers discounted water rates. It does not offer discounted sewer rates.

The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation has yet to release 2026 poverty guidelines, but once they do (later in January), this notice will be updated with a link to those guidelines.

To apply for the Low Income Assistance Program, download or pick up an application at City Hall, fill out the application and sign it in the presence of a notary (have the document notarized), and return the completed application with documents providing the qualifying basis for inclusion in this program (2025 income tax return, etc.).

Notice of Public Hearing

The City of Forks will be holding a public hearing on its Federal Aviation Administration’s Disadvantage Business Enterprise Three Year Goals 2024–2027 on December 29, 2025 at 5:15 p.m. in Council Chambers at Forks City Hall. This will be a hybrid in-person/Zoom hearing. More information to follow as it becomes available.

On October 13, 2025, the City Council will hold a hearing on the proposed Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan for Clallam County that includes as a separate chapter the City of Forks Comprehensive Hazard Mitigation Plan.

Notice of Consideration of Appeal to the Forks City Council

Notice is hereby given that during the Council’s Regular Meeting on September 22, 2025, the City Council will consider an appeal filed by Dave Ferguson of the Forks Planning Commission’s 18 July 2025 Affirmation of the Special Use Permit issued to Vertical Bridge for the construction and installation of a 150′ monopole telecommunications tower at 285 West Division Street.
