The City of Forks has received a 60% Annexation Petition from Willmer and Emalee Robbins  requesting the City Council to annex approximately one acre.  The legal description for this annexation request is as follows:

The East 50’ of the Southeast Quarter (SE ¼) of the Southwest Quarter (SW ¼) of Section Eight, Township 28 North, Range 13 West, W.M., lying north of the Diimmel County Road.

Consisting of approximately one (1) acre.

Tax parcel:  132808430200

Located immediately west and adjacent to the original Robbins Rental Annexation and generally northwest of the intersection of the Robbins Rental Road and Bogachiel Way

On 12 Feb 2018, the City Council will hold a public hearing on this request, and also decide whether or not to annex the property described above via City ordinance.  The public is invited to attend and provide public comment.

Notice is hereby given that the regularly scheduled meeting of the Forks City Council set for December 25, 2017 has been cancelled by action of the Council.

Further, notice is hereby given that the Forks City Council will hold a special meeting on December 26, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. at Forks City Hall, 500 East Division Street.  The agenda for this meeting will be made public by close of business on December 22, 2017.  Interested parties may visit www.forkswashington.org or contact City staff at 360 374-5412 for a copy.

Amending the Forks Zoning Code (FMC Chapter 17) to
Address Vacation/Visitor Rentals

The City Council is giving notice that it will hold a public hearing during its regularly scheduled meeting on 11 Dec 2017.  The purpose of the hearing is to obtain public comment on proposed amendments to the Forks Zoning Code, FMC Chapter 17 that would clarify when a vacation or visitor rental would be permitted outright, via special use, via conditional use or prohibited.  A copy of the proposed ordinance can be found on the City’s website www.forkswashington.org under the public notice/current issues tab.
