Notice is hereby given that the Forks City Council will hold a special meeting with the Port of Port Angeles on Monday, August 14, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at the Forks City Hall Council Chambers.  The purpose of this joint meeting will be to discuss strategic plans and goals, timber advocacy efforts, and the Community Partner Program.

Notice is hereby given that on July 10, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. the Forks City Council will conduct a public hearing to obtain input regarding the proposed six year Transportation Improvement Plan.  The plan, covering 2018 – 2023, is used by local, state and federal governments to prioritize and fund transportation projects.

Written comments will be accepted up until 5:00 p.m. on July 10, 2017.  Please address all comments to the Forks City Council.  If you have any questions regarding the Transportation Improvement Plan, or would like to obtain a copy of the plan, please contact Paul Hampton at 360 374-5412.

Seasonal Temporary Positions

The City of Forks is accepting applications for seasonal temporary laborers in the Park, Street and Water Departments.  Requires ability to perform manual labor tasks including some heavy lifting; ability to operate small power and hand tools while performing maintenance and cleaning tasks and to assist public works staff as assigned. Ability to lift and or carry 50 lbs. is required.  Pay will be $11.00/hour – no benefits.  Applicants must be 17 years of age.  Application forms may be picked up at the Forks City Hall Water Department office or on-line at www.forkswashington.org  Please return applications to Nerissa Davis, City of Forks, 500 East Division Street, Forks  WA   98331 or drop them off in the water department at City Hall.  Deadline for accepting applications is 5:00 p.m.,

Notice is hereby given that on 8 May 2017 at 7:30 p.m. the Forks City Council will hold a public hearing regarding the City’s intent to file an application for federal financial assistance with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, Rural Utilities Service. The project includes improvements to the water distribution system and water reservoir facilities.
