Notice is hereby given that Giancarlo and Debra Buonpane were granted a Special Use Permit for the installation of a third residence in the form of a “tiny home” that would be used as a rental dwelling at 520 F Street. Further, the lead agency has determined that this project would not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment.

Notice of Special Forks City Council Meeting

Notice is hereby given that a majority of the City Council may be in attendance at the Forks Chamber of Commerce Meeting scheduled for Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at noon at 1220 S Forks Avenue.  As such, this event will constitute a Special Meeting of the City Council.  No action will be taken and the purpose of the meeting will be to hear the State of the City Address from Mayor Fletcher.

Notice is hereby given that a majority of the City Council may be in attendance at a new council member orientation scheduled for Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. at Forks City Hall, 500 East Division Street.  As such, this training will constitute a Special Meeting of the City Council.  No action will be taken and the agenda of the meeting will be set by the facilitator with a focus on the operations of the City utilizing the Association of Washington Cities elected officials orientation checklist.

Notice of Holiday Hours

Forks City Hall will close at noon on Tuesday, December 24, 2019 (pursuant to Forks Municipal Code 2.10.030) and be closed all day on Wednesday, December 25, 2019 and Wednesday, January 1, 2020.

Budget Hearings & Special City Council Meetings

The Forks City Council has called for budget hearings to be held at 7:30 p.m. on November 12 and 25, 2019 at the Forks City Hall.  The City Council meeting that would normally be held on November 11, 2019 will be held on November 12, 2019 due to November 11 being a state holiday recognizing Veterans Day.  The Forks City Council has also called for special meetings to be held at 5:30 p.m. on November 12 and 25, 2019 at the Forks City Hall.  The purpose of the special meetings will be to hold budget workshops.

Notice is hereby given that on 12 November 2019 at 7:30 p.m. the Forks City Council will hold a public hearing to obtain input regarding the City of Forks Capital Improvement Plan 2020-2026. This Plan was prepared to address capital improvement needs for City facilities for the period of 2020 through 2026.

Written comments will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on 12 November 2019. Please address all comments to the Forks City Council. The Plan can be found on the City’s website www.forkswashington.org under Documents>City Reports or copies may be obtained at City Hall. If you have any questions regarding the City of Forks Capital Improvement Plan 2020-2026, please contact Rod Fleck, Attorney/Planner at 360-374-5412.

Notice is hereby given that on July 8, 2019 at 7:30 p.m. the Forks City Council will conduct a public hearing to obtain input regarding the proposed six year Transportation Improvement Plan. The plan, covering 2020-2025, is used by local, state and federal governments to prioritize and fund transportation projects.

Written comments will be accepted up until 5:00 p.m. on July 8, 2019. Please address all comments to the Forks City Council. If you have any questions regarding the Transportation Improvement Plan, or would like to obtain a copy of the plan, please contact Paul Hampton at 360 374-5412. The plan is also available at www.forkswashington.org.
