Notice is hereby given that on 26 September 2016 at 7:30 p.m. the Forks City Council will hold a public hearing to obtain input regarding the General Sewer/Wastewater Facility Plan dated February 2016. This Plan was prepared to address the City’s planning needs for wastewater collection, transmission, treatment, and disposal for the 20-year planning period (2014 – 2034).

Written comments will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on 26 September 2016. Please address all comments to the Forks City Council. The Plan can be found on the City’s website www.forkswashington.org under Documents>City Reports. If you have any questions regarding the General Sewer/Wastewater Facility Plan, please contact Paul Hampton, Public Works Director at 360-374-5412.

Salary:  $3,340.00-4,010.22 DOQ, with benefits & uniforms.

Notice is hereby given that on July 11, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. the Forks City Council will conduct a public hearing to obtain input regarding the proposed six year Transportation Improvement Plan.  The plan, covering 2017 – 2022, is used by local, state and federal governments to prioritize and fund transportation projects.

Written comments will be accepted up until 5:00 p.m. on July 11, 2016.  Please address all comments to the Forks City Council.  If you have any questions regarding the Transportation Improvement Plan, or would like to obtain a copy of the plan, please contact Paul Hampton at 360 374-5412.

The Forks Planning Commission is giving notice that it will hold a public hearing/public workshop as part of a special meeting of the Commission on 29 Jun 2016 to gather public comment on a proposed preliminary revision to the Forks Urban Growth Area (FUGA) Comprehensive Plan (Comp Plan).  The City of Forks is required to update the FUGA Comp Plan in such a manner as to be compliant with the Growth Management Act.  The purpose of this meeting is to obtain from the public their input, reaction, and suggestions to a completely redrafted Comp Plan that includes the goals and policies for the required chapters:  Affordable Housing, Capital Facilities, Economic Development, Land Use, Transportation, and Utilities.  The Comp Plan also guides the City’s revisions of its Zoning Code, Critical Areas Ordinances, and other development regulations.  The format of the meeting may change in response to the number of participants in order to ensure that the audience can provide information and comments in a manner that works best for them.

A copy of the draft may be found at the City’s website: www.forkswashington.org Individuals may submit written comments on the preliminary revision of the Comp Plan by sending those to rodf.forks@forkswashington.org.  To be included in the materials at the public meeting, comments need to be received by no later than 4 p.m. on 29 Jun 2016.
