Forks Zoning Code and Zoning Map

Property Rezone – Decker’s Request rezone a 0.49 acre parcel
Lot 2 of the Fraker Short Plat. Located west of the
southern terminus of South 1st Avenue.
The City of Forks is hereby giving notice and soliciting public comment on a request for a rezone of one parcel owned by the Jim and Laura Decker. The request is to rezone the property from the current overlap zone to High Density Commercial/High Density Residential. The Planning Commission, at the conclusion of the public hearing on this request, will make a determination on the rezone to be forwarded for consideration and adoption by the Forks City Council. This request came in response to the City’s annual call for requests for changes to the FUGA Comp Plan and/or Zoning Code. This proposed change requires no change to the comprehensive plan.

- Staff Report – Applicant is seeking a rezone of current overlap zoning to High Density Commercial zoning for parcel no. 1328092409020. If granted, the request would alter the Forks Zoning Code’s zoning map.

This is the first step in a two-step process associated with a rezone. At this hearing, the public will be given an opportunity to express its views regarding this request to the Forks Planning Commission. The Commission will then deliberate upon the request, following the conclusion of the hearing, and make a recommendation to the City Council for the Council to consider at its 23 April 2018 meeting.
Written comments on the request for the rezone of the parcel will be received by the City up through the hearing before the Forks Planning Commission on 21 March 2018.
